Names and Other Things

Jeremy and I have been thinking of baby names we like. A week or so ago we decided for a girl it's probably going to be Jemma Mae. We both like rocks and fossils and gems are rocks... Also, one of the movies we "watched together" when we lived far away from one another was Fools Gold, and there is a character named Jemma in that. The other thing is that my nickname for Jeremy, at least on my phone, has been Jem. It works on a number of levels. May is the month we started dating and Mae is the middle name of Jeremy's mom and grandma, and his great grandma's middle name is Mae.

We had a more difficult time figuring out our boy name. So far we both like Otis Eaven. (Eaven is heaven without the h) Otis means wealth, which I find ironic since gems can be valuable/have wealth, so maybe it's meant to be. The only thing I worry about is if it's a boy and we name it Otis and it turns out to be chunky and have man boobs other kids might call him Otits. Or if he has acne Ozits. :-S I would hope that nobody would be that mean, but some kids can be.

Okay, changing subjects... I am getting a Pentax K10 with two flashes, a remote cable, some SD cards, and some other stuff. It's used but like new. :-)

The story is, I was working at Dillons and this guy came through ever so slightly frazzled and said that he just got done printing off like 300 pictures. I said, "I want to be a photographer!" Then I mentioned I did just get a job at Sears Portrait Studio but would like to be able to work outside and on location more someday. We talked about some other things for a few moments and then he said, "Well, I'm selling my Pentax K10 and some flashes for $500.00, if you're interested call me." He gave me his card. I looked some things up online and figured if the camera is in good condition this is a total steal.

I did some figuring and with my tax returns I will have enough to buy this camera and pay off all of my debt. I called him and found more out about the camera. It all sounded so great. I asked why he was practically giving it away and he said that before he had talked to me he wasn't even thinking about selling it, but he was so frustrated with work that day and has two other digital and two other film cameras. He also said that if he had thought about it more before throwing me a number he would have tried to get $800-900 for it. But he also said that he and his wife are the church going type and that he gave me $500 as an offer so he was going to stick to it. He also said he would hold the camera for me until I get my tax returns. :-D Yayyyyyy!!!

Oooh... I get to go to Wisconsin in June. I'm super excited. It'll only be for a week, but I'm so happy Sears is going to let me have off.

Wanting to Know Babies Gender

I really want a girl... but it has felt like a boy to me. A lot of that is just because this pregnancy seems so similar to when I was pregnant with Austin, as opposed to with Nayeli. So anyways, I'm just gonna think in my blog for a bit... guess I named it right with a url "amysthinkingwhat." ;-)

Okay from all that it seems fairly even. I know I'll love it so much regardless, I dunno why I even want a girl so much, but I do. :-P

Simmering

Do you think supressing feelings makes you close off to everyone and everything else? I think it might. We can't all act on everything, by anymeans. I feel eithing like I'm imploding or like I'm a volcano getting ready to burst. Maybe I'll implode then burst. I dunno. I hope I don't do either.

wtf

So, Sammy's been half-heartedly trying to get into my pants since we've been out here. It has no effect on me, which is why I haven't mentioned it up to this point. Today, however, along with his whatever (guess you could call it a sexual inuendo kind of talk) he all of a sudden brings up that if I moved back out here he and his aunt would help me out with rent and whatnot til I could get on my own feet. He also stated that anything is possible and something along the lines of possibly trying to work things out if I lived out here.

I think I had a pretty blank reaction but it really made me go wtf?

Thankfully it doesn't sound appealing to me in any way. I miss warmth and the ocean and I'd love to be a little closer to fam, but being around Sam for more than two weeks is bound to cause damaging drama.

Fun

I'm having lots of fun in California. The energy level here is wayyy up compared what I'm used to and I'm getting to have adventures. It's great!! I may get to go out on the river again today. We went to the ocean yesterday. The last time we went to the river there was a sea lion, which is uncommon for around here. It was so cool! Other than that the kids are having a great time. They're getting tons of attention and lots of outside time. Yayyyy!

4.5 Weeks

It's still just over a month, but in four and a half weeks I will have my first OB appointment... It's going to be one day before I start my 2nd trimester. I am so excited, and a little scared. I hope everything is still okay with the baby, and will continue to be okay. :-S At least my trip to California should make things seem to go faster. :-) In two weeks I will be going on my 3rd month of being pregnant and I have lost 2.5lbs. I'm entertained by this b/c I do not lose weight during my pregnancies, even if it is the first trimester. I'm eating when I'm hungry, and hardly any junk food, I stopped drinking caffeine, but I throw up a lot. (You wanted to hear that I'm sure.) I can't eat very big meals at all or I get really sick. :-P That's all for now folks! ;-)
